Why I Created The Mindful Startup

I’ve always felt everything too much.
Rooms. People. Expectations.
The pressure to be brilliant without being difficult. Ambitious, but palatable.

For a long time, I thought I had to choose—be soft or be successful.
But I wanted both.
And I didn’t see anyone talking about that.

I wanted to lead—but I was scared to be seen.
I had vision—but I hadn’t yet learned to trust it.
I had big, ambitious dreams—but my sensitivity made me wonder if I was built for the weight of them.
And for a while, I thought maybe I had to quiet that part of me—make it smaller, more manageable—before I could build anything meaningful.

But the truth is: that part of me was never the problem.
It was the reason.
And The Mindful Startup became, in many ways, a quiet rebellion.
A rebellion against the people, systems, and stories that told us we had to choose—emotional or powerful.
That told us sensitivity made us unstable. That depth made us difficult. That if we felt too much, we couldn’t lead.

But I know now: the people who feel deeply are the ones who build differently.
We lead with vision and presence.
We don’t just build things—we change things.

I created The Mindful Startup because I couldn’t find a space where ambition, depth, and emotional truth coexisted.

I’ve always known I wanted to build something powerful—but I also knew I wanted to do it in a way that felt real. Not performative. Not hollow. Not rooted in hustle for the sake of appearances. I wanted to create something that made space for the nuance of the entrepreneurial journey—the internal battles, the moments of clarity, the identity shifts, the creative sparks, and the slow, quiet growth that no one sees.

At the time, I was looking around and saw two extremes: content that felt too shallow to matter, or content that felt too heavy to act on. I wanted something in between. Something that honored the emotional side of building while still offering strategic, powerful perspective. That’s when The Mindful Startup was born.

What started as a podcast is now evolving into a full media platform.

Here’s what The Mindful Startup includes today:

  • The Podcast – where I explore entrepreneurship, mindset, philosophy, identity, and the emotional side of building

  • Editorial Essays – like this one, for founders and creatives who value intention, clarity, and command

  • Brand & Media Consulting – for select clients looking for guidance on voice, positioning, or storytelling

The goal? To make ambition more intentional. To build in a way that feels aligned. And to help others do the same.

This platform is for those building with vision, clarity, and a refusal to abandon themselves in the process.
